SVP Global Sales & Marketing Appointment

INTEREL, premier international smart building infrastructure provider, is excited to announce the January 2022 appointment of Layne Spencer as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. In his new post, Layne will lead the organization in furthering the company’s mission to offer innovative hardware and software solutions to partners and clients in multiple real estate segments all over the world. He will support continued growth within the hospitality space in which INTEREL has enjoyed over ten years of success as the preferred smart platform for many of the industry’s finest properties. Layne will also focus closely on driving diversification and expansion into North American MDU verticals, including market rate, affordable, military, and single-family rentals as well as senior living, student housing, and condo/coop/HOA communities.

Layne’s expertise is in scaling businesses by building high-performing teams, executing effective marketing strategies, and forging key partnerships within both direct and indirect models. Prior to joining INTEREL, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for North American smart apartment tech provider IOTAS where he fostered growth and oversaw the launch of the company’s channel and enterprise programs. Layne brings a multifamily-specific perspective to INTEREL with over a decade of combined leadership experience in the space, including SaaS and hardware sales, integrated marketing, corporate and business development, commercial brokerage, property management, technology implementation, customer training, and partner enablement. His earlier background includes senior positions within the automotive and education industries. Layne holds B.S. and M.Ed. degrees from Berry College.
